Goreshade the Bastard & Deathwalker part 1

Have to say Goreshade is the coolest model I've put together in years.  It is an absolutely beautiful model and really look forward to doing it some justice.

JJ assembling and painting, this is a Warmachine Cryx Goreshade the Bastard & Deathwalker commission for Mike.

Ah, metal.  It's been a long time my olde friend.  Every part of Goreshade was pinned.  The cloak was surprisingly easy.  Didn't know how it was supposed to be assembled.  Lucky guess.  Hardest part was the two piece spirit he's holding.  Love those days of pinning and/or supergluing metal and putting it in a weird position to use the weight of the pieces to let the glue bond.  Didn't have to think about it all.  Did it as if it was yesterday.

Letting all those pieces cure while working on other stuff.

Unfortunately Goreshade is assembled incorrectly.  Told Mike and asked him if he wanted me to keep it this way to put it together like normal.

Dynamic view though.  Genuinely thought it was supposed to be put together this way.  Wasn't til looking up the model later to determine what the colours was that I learned oops, mistake was made.  Apparently I was looking a different model before.

Time for the legs to set in.  Didn't want the top heaviness of the model to affect the legs bonding.

Again great view!

    1. Yeah! Thinking the white primer reall helps the details pop at this stage in the process.

    3. Thanks, LT. When I saw the pic of the model from PIP felt a little silly not knowing how it goes together. Then the flow of the spirit made a lot more sense.
