Damn, last weekend was quite the struggle to get to the murder table.  Hopefully this isn't an indication of what will happen this, Eldar release, weekend and next week.  Need to seriously kick this in the ass.

RAW vs RAI

Rules, we read them, we infer them.  Some players want to be That Guy when it comes to rules.  Here are some thoughts regarding RAW vs RAI.

Closest that I could find that was "You got peanut butter in my jelly!  No, you got jelly in my peanut butter!"  Trust me its a two-fer.

13.5.21 1850 Grey Knights vs Chaos Daemons

This is just awesome.  Another game with Connor.  Love the frequency of our games.  Really enjoy hanging out with him and getting to know him more.

I'm reminded of Grey Knights novels people rave about.  Grey Knights besieged by Daemons on all sides.  Fighting til their ammo empties, power armour fails, ever-growing darkness as brother after brother is swallowed by the warp personified, standing stalwart until the last Grey Knight falls.

6th ed Rules of the Game: Morale Test in Movement and Sweeping Advances

Here's a rule that came up in last game.  Also question from nearby players.

Damn this game was fun.  Almost nail biting tension at some times.  Shawn is picking up and using tactics I've never seen him perform before.  Quite impressed.

Considered a line for my commission site: You're not buying a service.  You're buying a result.  Something about it didn't sound right.

Ran that by a couple of friends.  One of them replied "If you put up high quality pictures.  You don't have to say anything.  Your work will speak for itself."  Replied "Thanks and that is a great idea" and abandoned the line.  Then it occured to me.  My clients can buy results while I provide them excellent service.

13.5.7 1850 Grey Knights vs Chaos Daemons "Where the Hammer meets the Anvil"

Had a great game with Connor two Tues ago.  If you ever have the opportunity to play a game with him, I highly suggested it.

6th ed Rules of the Game: Refusing a Challenge Edition, requesting feedback

What happens when a challenge is refused has plagued me since the first time reading it.  Seems there's a huge hole in specifically how the rest of the models behave.  Please someone help me out.  I'm thinking there's something printed in the book that I continue to overlook or am just not getting it.

Finally this beautiful model is done and ready to be returned to Shawn's hands.  He's seen it several times during its production.  I'm looking forward to seeing his face when I hand it back tonight.

Shawn had a different Eldar list than I expected.  When he said he was using his Eldar.  I was expecting Eldrad.  Nope, Yriel.

Since following suit like other painters of having something to hold instead of holding the model directly, one thing has plagued me.  Model holding tipping over potentially causing damage to model.  Here's an epiphany to fix the issue that I'd like to share.

Like the Boy Scouts or Marines it's best to be prepared when sh*t happens.  In this case Ayce00's Ranger somehow found itself on the floor.  Guess the Range had enough of his Long Rifle doing nothing and decided to take out his frustration on it and broke the barrel off.

I Hate Painting Eyes

Actually I love painting eyes.  Just hate painting them this stage of the model.

Slowly, bit by bit, the avatar is coming together.  Shawn wants him to look great so I'm making sure to take my time and give it appropriate attention.

Stripes in hair are Space Wolves Grey.  Not sure why they appear white.  Perhaps angle from lights.

Codex warp

Anyone else experiencing this?  Suggestions for how to prevent, or reverse, the warping?
