Astra Militarum Wyverns part 6

Had a solid session painting Sat.  Would've liked to get to the table yesterday.  However I really needed to win with my b-wings.

JJ painting, this is an Astra Militarum Wyvern commission for Mike.

Lost with my b-wings by the way.  All three games.  They fly quite differently than phantoms.  There's always next time.

  1. I don't know what I'd do against multiple B-wings. My buddy always plays with at least one, and I purposefully concentrate a majority (if not all my firepower) against it until it dies. He constantly ion's me with it, and sends me flying into asteroids. (I'm a tie interceptor guy, love boosting all over the place, so ion is particularly bad vs me).

Wyverns coming along nicely. This particular scheme really comes into play in the later stages.

    1. Ion on an interceptor is not part of my definition of fun. Almost kind of mean, really.

Curious what you mean. How the colours pull together one at a time or for the pic of all the tanks together?

    2. Ya he'd bascially just shoot ion at me, and my interceptors mobility was removed, making them easy pickings for the other bwings. A bwing can unleash a torrent of damage on an interceptor if it gets los. Of course now I think you can give them a turret in the aces pack?

The color scheme builds up over time is what I mean. When you first start out, its very plain, but as you add the detail and other colors it really comes together and looks proper awesome!

    3. Yeah, if I remember correctly turrets are part of the b-wings in the aces pack. Prefer Imperial over Rebels. Those b-wings are really mean though. Would've had first game if I didn't fly myself off the board. Also flew myself off the board in the second game. One b-wing against a falcon is no bueno.

Thanks, thought that's what you meant. Since there isn't a lot of detail and extra work for these models I really want the colours to be clean and sharp. That is a great thing when you're really working with the model. You can make some parts fuzzy or off a little and it only enhances the detail.
