This is one of those posts that occur to you while painting.  I mean this genuinely.  It is time for you to stop using those micro-brushes.

I've never used the insane detail or 5/0 brush.

Paint Judging, What I've Learned

Had the opportunity to be the paint judge for Renegade Open GT.  Out of all the things I thought I would encounter while paint judging there was one that left me siting in pure wonder.

6th ed 40k Lexicon v2.1

There's a great deal of information about 40k all over the web.  Many of it uses short hand to communicate.  I'm compiling a lexicon to help me decipher what it means.  Warseer uses a great system of links to know what it means.  I endeavour to copy their method in the future.  In the mean time I hope you learn as much as I do if not more.

Loved working on this guy.  Not a fan of models without helmets.  Find faces on models to be too dramatic.  Guess the face has to be drama filled to catch the eye.  Will have to find another model like this to work on.  Push my comfort level.

Neil said he wanted more attention to the crystal and Sebastian.  Hopefully these two meet his expectations.  Based crystal Enchanted Blue.

Love the speed of this model.  Face and eyes were easier to paint than I thought.  This guy is done tonight.  Then to set up a time with Neil to get the model to him.

Condemnor Boltgun Update

*Special note that this is exactly the same wording/rule that the weapon is printed with in the Grey Knight Codex. Which is unfortunate since that rule was FAQ'ed because it did not work with the rules. They FAQ'ed it to be the same as the Sisters of Battle WD codex version which requires the Psyker to take an unsaved wound from the stake crossbow. Hey, at least they cut the price down by 5 points, it used to be +15 points to add it to a model in the GK and SoB WD codices.

13.11.1 1500 Necrons vs Adepta Sororitas

Played a game against Suijin last Fri at Fantasy Flights new location.  Quite a pretty place if you ask me.

This was my majour mistake in the game.  Which I figured out quickly.  I'll talk more about this later.

Loving the time I've been able to put into Toni's army.  Had a great All Hallows Eve.  Spent some time online and then at the murder table.  Originally thought I would be able to paint all the plates and highlight them in one sitting.  Then it hit me.
