Crew, it has been a bit. I've missed you. You're probably asking the same question I am. What, a post? What do I do? The last week has been something else.

Ebay Tyranids Hive Crone part 4 a.k.a. Airbrushing Wings
I'm glad I took my time starting this model otherwise I wouldn't have remembered something I saw online sometime ago. Specifically a set of Dark Eldar Scourges.

Airbrush 103: Making Paints into Airbrush Paints
This post has been done a couple of times now. Wanted to make a post specifically about the process as I'm developing it. Still refining the process of how to make paints into airbrush paints. This is not the last post on the subject. Hope there never is. Refreshers are always helpful.

Airbrushing 101: Random Airbrushing Tips
Since I'm learning the airbrush as I go I want to share what I've learned and mistakes made in hopes others don't do the same. As I tell those whom I play 40k with "Learning is painful." Frankly I believe it's the best way to learn. Hope none of you make these mistakes.

| Top of the order is to ignore someone who has more airbrushing experience. 40k buddy Wade told me months ago "Seal before applying tape. So tape doesn't pull paint off." I didn't seal. /sad panda |

Most of the time spent airbrushing
Been working with my airbrush quite a bit recently and damn I'm loving it. Very much like the McDonald's jingle. I've often been in awe of Imperial Guard Valkyries that were airbrushed. Asking a guy at Fantasy Flight about how he did that he said blue tape. Ah, blue tape. It masks part of the model that we don't want to airbrush.
Working on my Grey Knights Rhinos this how I spent most of the time.

Breaking Citadel/GW Paint (Airbrushing)
After a lot of frustration and research I'm glad to say I've found a reliable and easy way to use GW paints for airbrushing.
To be fair the title is a bit misleading. The paints weren't broken perse just figured out how to use them with an airbrush.

Still fumbling with the airbrush
With Purifiers effectively done time to work with my airbrush. Wanted to cover the Psyflemen and Rhino's in the same colour. I now I have a colour for my Grey Knights. Gods I only hope someone picks something up from this so they don't make the same mistakes I did. I intend to break the GW paint thinning process for airbrushing. So far it is a tough cookie.

Things not to do your first time Airbrushing
Besides the Anon that schooled me on my Harlistar/Invisi-council list last week this is the most foolish I've felt recently. Figured someone, besides myself, can learn from this.
If you use an airbrush regularly and wish to drop some knowledge. Please do If you want to point and laugh, feel free to do so.

| A lot of people thin paints with Windex. Airbrush Medium from Blick. Guy behind the counter wasn't too convincing. These are two thinners I'll use with Citadel Foundation Knarloc Green. |
