Grey Knights Purifers completed

Finally after 21 parts these guys are complete!  Can stick a fork in them.

Painting the halberds turned out much better than expected.

Damn it feels great to be effectively done with these guys.  I say effectively because I only have the halberds left to do but want to practice more before taking that step.

Last bit of accenting.  Liche Purple on all swords/crosses.  Several weeks when painting these I sent pics to Bryan to get his opinion.  He asked "No purple?  All your models have purple on them."  Wasn't my plan but hey who am I to break tradition.

Grey Knights Purifiers part 19 Finally done with grey!

Damn it feels good to be done with painting the armour.  It was a huge mistake.  I'll say rookie mistake painting armour last.  Never again.  No one's more excited that I that these guys are greyed.  Now to do one last touch before putting them aside of the next part of my Grey Knights army.

Painted two last night after getting home from games then beer and BS at Olde Chicago.

Just like the angelic host.  One third fell.  Tenth model to pull free from its feeble moorings.

Also more Grey Knights coming off their bases.  Now have 9 of 30 Purifiers that are pinned to their bases.  Should've followed my instinct.

Decided to go with grey.  Right has 1:1 Army Painter Uniform Grey and Space Wolves Grey.

Grey Knights Purifiers part 14

Had a great day painting.  Painted for 7 hours yesterday.  Looking forward to Sun.  Will start painting armour.

Wasn't sure what to do with the book on the shoulder.  Considered cover Vermin Brown and pages Dheneb Stone.  While going to bed couple of nights ago it hit me.  Burnished Gold with Gryphonne Sepia wash.  Books Auric Armour Gold, new Burnished Gold.

Need some feedback. Re: Purifiers

Perhaps I drank the cool-aid.  Started painting my Purifiers white but it wasn't sitting with me.  Painting them white won't be hard at all.  Actually turning out much easier than I thought.  Also quicker than I thought.

Purifiers are coming along.  Heavily considering painting eyes before I start the white.  It will be a new technique for me.  Could get messy if I do the eyes after.

My "great painting holiday weekend" turned out much differently than expected.  Still glad I was able to get sometime on my Purifiers.  Should finish applying Brassy Brass tonight and move onto purity seals.

Grey Knights Purifiers part 9 (new colour quite excited!)

Happy New Years, 40k'ers.  Looking forward to oogling my Yaya Han calendar this next year.  This is my second year without a H.R. Giger calendar.  Quite upset.  It's worth paying full cost for the calendar and definitely having it before Christmas instead of risk paying half-cost after Christmas and not getting it.  Done with that lame gamble.

Merry pre-Boxing Day (Grey Knights Purifiers painting part 6)

Had a couple of hours to work on my Purifiers yesterday before visiting my Loves family for Christmas Eve.  Today we hit mine.  Turkey day is far easier.  Two families one day.  No driving all over God's winter earth like Eve and Christmas.

From H2Lat40k to you: Have a relaxing day doing exactly what you want.  I would be painting if I could.  SG owns these pics.  Used without permission.  No challenge intended.  Out of the 11.2G of SG pics I have only 5 albums were winter/christmas related.  Thought there would be more.

If Santa brought you presents may they be filled with 40k stuff or whatever table crack you prefer.  My sister wanted to get me something.  Suggested either Draigo or Coteaz.  Not holding my breathe though.

First of two four day weekends.  Planned on painting all day yesterday but Shawn had a better idea.  Get together for a game.  Deal.  Woke up.  Had a couple of hours to paint.  Enough time to do more detail on the Purifiers.

Really glad I resisted the urge that was tearing me all day down at work.  Painted for about 7 hours last night.  Once I was done with Yriel went right back to my Purifiers.  Need them done by March 18.

Colours are working together nicely.
