Love my Necron wraiths.  They are quite useful on the battlefield.  Not a fan of how quickly they are removed.  Here's something I've wanted for a while.

What a battle report?  It has been a long time since one of these has graced our sandbox. This is an extremely olde battle report.  If I remember correctly our gaming group didn't meet one Friday night.  Suijin and I decided to do some 40k.  Since this was our first 7th ed game we played a lower point game to give us time to go through the rules and finish.

13.11.1 1500 Necrons vs Adepta Sororitas

Played a game against Suijin last Fri at Fantasy Flights new location.  Quite a pretty place if you ask me.

This was my majour mistake in the game.  Which I figured out quickly.  I'll talk more about this later.

Eldar Tactics: How to beat Wraithwing with Eldar

This is a post I've been kicking around with Ayce00 for sometime.  Perhaps some Eldar players have difficulty with Wraithwing.  This can be applied to any army.  It's specific to Eldar.

12.12.4 1500 Necrons vs Eldar (school yard beating)

Had a great game with Shawn last night.  Yeah it was a school yard beating.  There were few highlights for the Necrons.  The pic below being one of them.  Other than that my Necron army was the ball Shawn's Eldar kicked up and down the school yard.

Ah, all those familiar places.  Avatar and Eldrad in the middle of another mosh pit.

12.11.11 FOYCON 1850 Fires of Battle day 2 1 Lose/1 Win

Grand Tournament wasn't turning out as I expected.  Figured I'd win my first game.  Lose my second.  Win third.  Win or Lose fourth and lose fifth.  First two games were against Tyranids which completely ignore wonder-twins.  First game was going to crush me if there was more time.  Second game also lost.  Third game I won because of Night Fight.  That Doomsday Ark would've been bad.  After an excellent Sat evening with Bryan it was time to wake damned early again for the last two games of the GT.  I figured it was all down hill from here.

12.11.10 FOYCON 1850 Fires of Battle day 1 2 Lose/1 win

BatRep long time coming.  Part one of two of FOYCON's Fires of Battle Grand Tournament.  GT had about 14 players.  Lower than expected.  Sarge from Fountains of Youth did a great job organizing first Fountain of Youth Convention, FOYCON.

Bryan and I arrived about 9:50pm at the Metropolis.  Wanted to do some recon to avoid the whole wake up early walk through the hotel to find the GT.  Unfortunately we had more tables than players.  Nate ended up placing a table between players.  The purpose, to use the tables and terrain he put together.  Don't blame him.

12.11.20 1850 Necrons vs Eldar

Pretty fun game Wed evening.  Shawn asked me which he should use.  The left or right case.  I chose left.  Which is what I was looking forward to.  Eldar.  He brought Chaos Daemons and Eldar.  Wasn't sure which he wanted to use.  Perhaps Chaos Daemons.  Eldar it was.

At the centre of this moshpit is the Avatar of Khaine.  One of many models I want my Scarabs to face.  I'm quickly running out of models on that list.

FOYCON Fires of Battle Grand Tournament Eau Claire,WI

Fountains of Youth is hosting their first convention.  I plan on volunteering in some capacity.  Conventions take a lot of work.  Sarge from FOY is expecting 300-400 attendees.

I have a A Lot of free time at work.

This is my first Grand Tournament.  Buddy Simon talked about Adepticon earlier this year and said it is a great place to play against top-notch players.  I translate that to I'm going to get my ass kicked.  Drinks and sushi will soften the blow quite a bit.

Took Bryan's advice and dryrbushed Matt White.  Turned out better than I thought.

12.11.5 1850 Necrons vs Chaos Space Marins

Bryan had a great idea of having a 1850 game before Fires of Battle GT which we are attending this weekend.

Good ole' fashion mosh pit.  Canoptek Wraiths and Scarabs with Typhus and Chaos Terminators.

Finally had some time to put some paint to model.  Only have a few more days of painting til FOYCON's GT.  Would focus on the three that I need.  Figure the other two won't slow me down that much.

Damn fun game.  Learned a lot.  Shawn gave me a quite an ass-whooping.  Been on a winning streak.  Time for a big loss.
