How to Lose Against Daemons: a Grey Knights Battle Report

13.9.7 Grey Knights vs Chaos Daemons.  This was a fun game.  Game plan I meant to use last game against Connor however his deployment didn't allow me to do it.

Again just like the Black Library books.  Chaos are amongst the Grey Knights.  Stewards of the Imperium fighting against their destined foes.

This is just awesome.  Another game with Connor.  Love the frequency of our games.  Really enjoy hanging out with him and getting to know him more.

I'm reminded of Grey Knights novels people rave about.  Grey Knights besieged by Daemons on all sides.  Fighting til their ammo empties, power armour fails, ever-growing darkness as brother after brother is swallowed by the warp personified, standing stalwart until the last Grey Knight falls.

Had a great game with Shawn yesterday.  We spent a lot of time learning the new daemons.

12.11.11 FOYCON 1850 Fires of Battle day 2 1 Lose/1 Win

Grand Tournament wasn't turning out as I expected.  Figured I'd win my first game.  Lose my second.  Win third.  Win or Lose fourth and lose fifth.  First two games were against Tyranids which completely ignore wonder-twins.  First game was going to crush me if there was more time.  Second game also lost.  Third game I won because of Night Fight.  That Doomsday Ark would've been bad.  After an excellent Sat evening with Bryan it was time to wake damned early again for the last two games of the GT.  I figured it was all down hill from here.

Saturday night Shawn bought this and wanted me to put together.  I believe he actually said to his boy "I'm going to have JJ put this together so you guys won't screw it up."

What a chore this model was.  Are looking to be involved, I mean Really Involved, in putting a model together.  That includes removing flash.  Look no further.  Buy this limited edition or two Seeker Chariot/Hellflayer of Slaanesh and enjoy the misery many of us purposely go out of our way to avoid.  Buying two of those are the same cost as buying one limited edition.

That being said.  It is an extremely beautiful model.  I'd say sexy.  Would marry it but I'm afraid of what our children would look like.  Onto the pics!

Time for another battle with Shawn.  Never had games with Shawn so frequent.  Turns out he's on Vacation so he has time for this stuff.

12.6.8 2k Necrons vs Chaos Daemons (a.k.a Holy Fun!)

Have to say this was possibly the most fun I ever had in a 40k game.  You know those moments in games when you're expecting it to happen and it doesn't.  Well this was one of those games.  Regardless of the outcome this was a damn fun game.  I was excited for the rest of the night.  Wow, what a game!

12.5.9 2k Necrons vs Chaos Daemons

Really wanted to try 2k version of my soon-to-be 2.5k Spyder/Scarab list. Figured with DS (deep striking) CD (Chaos Daemons), Canoptek Spyders generating Canoptek Scarabs and Scarabs taking saves away from daemons it was going to be a fun wrap.  Hell, one of my plans involved 22 Scarabs assaulting a Daemon Prince stripping it of its saves.  Damn it was going to be awesome.  Did you hear that?  I certainly didn't.  Hope you did.  More about that sound later.

You guys threw a party for me?  You shouldn't have.
