Eldar Harlequins part 2 "Put the word out. We hire the Clown."

Decided to put myself in the mood for painting murderous clowns.  Besides Killer Clowns From Outer Space figured I'd paint in a more subdued mood and watch a couple clips of the Joker in The Dark Knight.  Heath Ledger, rest in peace, knocked that role out of the park in that role.

Time to paint some clowns.

Next time I paint Harlequins will have to take it more seriously and watch killer clowns from outer space to get me in the right mindset.

Re-posting because a recent blogger experienced the same issue.

Prefaced:  While the title and body of this post can be taken poorly it truly is not.  That being said I will do my best so this post is taken positively.  If it also seems like this post jumps around and put together in different parts that's because it was.  About 4 days of information is put together here.  I've made it as coherent as I could.

Blogging.  Some do, some don't.  Tallarn has a great post about blogging.  I'll ask his permission to put the link in this post for you to read.

I blog, because probably like many, to emulate someone.  The target of my adoration, immitation and inspiration: Natfka.  I deeply appreciate his no drama philosophy.  Also appreciate his blog and how he operates it.

Since then I've changed my intent on blogging.  Little did I know how blogging would change me.  Something I'm beginning to appreciate.

6th ed Rules of the Game: Overwatch, Stealth/Shrouded and Multiple Assault

Seemed the learning never stopped during the GT.  As it should.

12.11.11 FOYCON 1850 Fires of Battle day 2 1 Lose/1 Win

Grand Tournament wasn't turning out as I expected.  Figured I'd win my first game.  Lose my second.  Win third.  Win or Lose fourth and lose fifth.  First two games were against Tyranids which completely ignore wonder-twins.  First game was going to crush me if there was more time.  Second game also lost.  Third game I won because of Night Fight.  That Doomsday Ark would've been bad.  After an excellent Sat evening with Bryan it was time to wake damned early again for the last two games of the GT.  I figured it was all down hill from here.

Had something really cool happen during 3rd game.  Also covered something I've been waiting for awhile.

Picked up a couple of rules from last nights game with Shawn.  Always good stuff.

Picked up a couple of things during the Fires of Battle Grand Tournament several weeks ago.

6th ed Rules of the Game: Tervigon edition; Counter-attack and Dominion

Seemed the entire Grand Tournament was full of learning.  Always a great thing.  Have a few more things to keep in mind when facing Tervigons.

Eldar Phoenix Lords: Fuegan, Karandras and Maugan-Ra part 4

Was able to paint for a couple of hours last night.  Finished the Three Pheonix Lords.  Think I'll start on the Harlequins next.

Something wasn't right with Fuegan.  Then it hit me.  Green Glazed his loin clothe and Magenta Ink'd the dragons.  Looks better.

12.11.10 FOYCON 1850 Fires of Battle day 1 2 Lose/1 win

BatRep long time coming.  Part one of two of FOYCON's Fires of Battle Grand Tournament.  GT had about 14 players.  Lower than expected.  Sarge from Fountains of Youth did a great job organizing first Fountain of Youth Convention, FOYCON.

Bryan and I arrived about 9:50pm at the Metropolis.  Wanted to do some recon to avoid the whole wake up early walk through the hotel to find the GT.  Unfortunately we had more tables than players.  Nate ended up placing a table between players.  The purpose, to use the tables and terrain he put together.  Don't blame him.

Eldar Phoenix Lords Fuegan, Karandras and Maugan-Ra part 3

Had a couple of hours to paint. 

Use soap, ya dirty hippy.  The breaking of the paint on the blade indicates the release resin is still there.  All models have release resin on them.

Eldar Phoenix Lords: Fuegan, Karandras and Maugan-Ra part 2

The rare Sat update.  Gaming group had "thanksgiving" plans so I called off our Fri RPG.  It was down to one player.  He said he was in then getting down to last moment had a change of mind.  Worked on my Grey Knights a little.  Focused on Shawn's Eldar.

Shawn wants unconventional colours for his aspect warriors.  Chainmail base for Fuegan.  Dark Angels Green for Karandras.  Ubshabti Bone for Maugan-Ra
