Tired of walking somewhere to spray paint with a box of models wobbling all over the place potentially falling off and breaking. Perhaps you'll find this helpful.
JJ typing, as always giving credit where it is due. This something I saw Rob Baer from Spikey Bits do for his Purifiers shoulder pads.
If you're like me and live in apartment spray painting in your fiefdom is just plain foolish. Unless you want a fine layer of spray paint on all the surfaces. Foot prints of clean floor, bottoms of feet miscoloured by the spray paint colour you used. Don't get me wrong. If you're a fan of blowing your nose and the snot being the same colour you spray painted two days before go with your bad self.

Grab some poster tac and affix it to the paint stirring stick. Thought you had to buy these. Apparently paint stirring sticks are free. Thanks, home depot! |

Now for the other side. Need to make sure you leave room for the spray paint to get into those hard to cover spots. |
|
Should've rotated the stick so it doesn't appear to be supported on the ends. This reminds me of those crazy superglue commercials. The one with the guy holding onto this helmet which was superglued to an i-beam while he's moving his legs around. |

All 10 sisters poster taced to stirring stick. Time to take them outside and basecoat them. |
|
I'd advise wearing a glove for easy cleaning. |

Based Jon Kovalic's Black Armoury Primer. |

Since they are attached to the stick. Quick drybrush of Vallejo Model Air Metallic Black. |

ReplyDeleteNice! Fools seldom differ.
DeleteWhy not just airbrush your primer on??
ReplyDeleteAnon 6:15, love the Jon Kovalic black primer much better than airbrush black. Its a beautiful flat black.
DeleteYeah. Seems like 2 brothers painting is new to the google system so it hasn't caught onto them yet. They are probably in the system now.
