Added number on shoulder. Expect my first video tutorial in the next couple of weeks. |
JJ painting,
Lane wanted the imperial skull with wings pearlized blue. This is an example of above table top. |
All skull with wings pearlized. |
Shoulders numbered. |
The basing material is sand from Arizona. Surprisingly it changed colour when it was wet by Elmer's glue. Which makes sense. Wet earth = mud. |
Pic of basing material drier about an hour later. |
Close up of wet earth. |

Those turned out looking sharp! It's amazing how much difference adding some basing material will make on a model.
ReplyDeleteKeep up the great work!
Thanks. As you can see there were a lot of small rocks in the material. Had to use a fork to pull out the larger rocks.
DeleteNice work mate, they came out great
ReplyDeleteThanks, IDICBeer.
DeleteGreat work. I do particularly like the blue aquilas. Its a nice looking effect!
ReplyDeleteThanks. Yeah, Lane made a great call with that pearlized blue.
DeleteThank you. LT
DeleteI like the different coloured base for the NCOs- may have to steal that idea :)
ReplyDeleteYeah, thought about that several times while painting them. Its actually an unintenional affect. Guess the sergeant was purchased from a store and was based different colour than rest of the squad.
DeleteLooks AWESOME Great job. Thank you. -Lane
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome, buddy! Glad you like them. Looking forward to seeing your reaction in person.
