JJ painting, this is a Renegade Open Grand Grand Tournament commission. Last Renegade I was terribly ill and could not devote the time I wanted. Puck asked if I would be interested in painting a raffle army for the next Renegade. A hand shake later with an agreement and here is the test model. We'll see if there are any changes. This is going to be fun!
Recently had an interview for an internship with a publishing company for an IT summer position. Depending how that turns out I might be looking to paint two armies, IG foot army and Necrons, in one month. Have an Alaitoc Eldar army screaming for my attention. May need some help from someone I trust. Will let you know how it goes.

Sir, I won't stand for this. We have seen your AB skills and frankly you are dogging it on that gauss weapon OSL. I know you could do an awesome job of it with your AB -_- Come on, try it out - some of that green, then a little bit of white mixed in and you could do the OSL for the whole army in two passes with one session... You can do it!
ReplyDeleteZab, damn where were you when I was butchering that Eldar army that needed a lot of love? Could've used your pep-talk with that army.
DeleteYou've sold me. Going to do another test model. Know where there's another part that can use some AB love.
Afraid that by using the AB my models will look all the other mass produced "commission" models out there.
Relying on the airbrush for a fast way to churn out models and make bucks quicker. Isn't that like going to the darkside though?
I agree, I see so many quick AB jobs out there - you don't want to overdo it but, an effect here or there and it saves you and can add a nice touch and some pop :) Also i see a lot of AB jobs that don;t use enough contrast so they all come out looking very flat and washed out.
DeleteExcellent, glad both of us don't want me to go the darkside.
DeleteWill give it another go let's see what you think.
