Ebay Deathwing Land Raider part 14

It's done! 10 days ahead of schedule.  Thought the last two parts would take a week to complete.  Nope.  Just about 5 hours.  Painting surprises me at times.  What you think would take long finishes surprising quickly.  What you think is going to be quick takes far longer than expected.

The Rock "Petra."  Former Caliban broken up.  Based Adeptus Battlegrey,  The Rock and other bits of the former planet floating through Segmentum Obscurus.

Painted for about 4 hours on Sun.

Time for the big detail.  Turns out not as much as I was expecting.

3:5 Space Wolves Grey and Adeptus Battlegrey.

Based bottom same colour.

5:3 Space Wolves Grey and Adeptus Battlegrey.

Corners painted Space Wolves Grey.  Cleaned up edges with Matt Black.

When paint in your wet pallet gets a bit dry tip the tray soak up some water with your drush and mix the water with the dryish paint to renew it.

Still loving the wet pallet.  Time for new Acrylic Paper.

Stippled Adeptus Battlegrey to blend the sarcophagus greys together.

Cleaned up robes with Ubshabti Bone.  Anyone else feel like yelling "houdini?"

Effectively done.  I'll add a little battle damage damage and that'll be it.  Perhaps a Deathwing symbol on right sponson armour.

oops, huge mistake.  Said this would be my make or break piece.  Nearly was.  I hate to say it; Thank you 40kwiki.

Much better.

I'm done.  Considered doing some battle damage.  Perhaps some added effect of it traveling.  Will put down a couple of layers of dull coat.  Estimated it took about 53 hrs to paint.  Critique away.

After poking around online I think I may add some battle damage to the Land Raider.  Won't take much time at all.  Perhaps only some parts of the mural can receive the damage.  I don't want to mess up the mural too much by adding battle damage.  Presently really struggling with myself about not putting battle damage on it.  I can feel myself going there.
