Tips for Painting Magnetized Weapons [Updated]

Say you're tired of using poster tac to secure weapons that fall out of their moorings while being painted.  Plus you might want to flip the weapons upside down to paint those pesky places paint doesn't like to go.  Here's a suggestion.

Grey Knights Psyflemen Complete [Update 13.2.9]

[Update13.2.3] Completely forgot one last part. doh!
[Update 13.2.9] Added effects around exhaust.

These guys went fast.  Not sure if the airbrushed helped or it was how few I had to paint.

How to Paint Power Weapons a.k.a. Reinventing the Wheel [Update]

Updated with better painted swords.  When I saw the Nemesis Greatsword in the Grey Knights codex I was in awe.  If you were like me you wanted the same effect on your power weapons.

Here are several ways to paint power weapons.

*Note: Stipple, Drybrush and painted versions will be redone.  Frankly they are disappointing.
**Above power swords on left are redone and much better.  I should do a blooper reel blog post someday.

How to make Moving Doors Redux [Update]

**Warning some planning may be required**

This requires patience and firm hand.  It should be noted making the plastic doors move is far easier  than Forgeworld Chapter doors.

Orikan/Writhing Worldscape & Tremorstave/Writhing Worldscape Tactics [Update 12.10.23]

This was originally going to be a post about my Canoptek Spyder lists which is turning into Canoptek lists and tactics I've used with them.  Looking at my list closer and really its based around Writhing Worldscape.  Here are some, mostly random, thoughts about Temporal Snares/Writhing Worldscape tic tacs.

Thank you, technorakel!

psst, I've been working on this post for about three weeks.  Needed to make A Lot of changes with sixth edition coming out.  Hope you enjoy and/or learn something from it.  I think I did.  /whinces

Canoptek Spyders part 4 [Update]

Finally was able to finish these sexy girls.  Was surprised how quickly it went.  Thought it take two sittings to finish them.  Turned out the detail part of painting was the easiest.

Eldar Warp Spiders Completed [Update]

Finally a good session to get some work done.  Not that 6 hrs is any different than 5.  Just feels like I spent quality time at the table.  Also finally started and finished a squad in the time I was expecting.  4 hrs.

Had to prime these guys twice.  Guess I didn't all the spots the first time.  Primed with Prime Colour Uniform Grey from army painter.

12.7.17 Wave Serpent [Updated 12.8.12]

Put another 4.5 hrs into the Wave Serpent up to 5 hrs right now.  Should finish it the next serious session I have.  Won't be tonight.  Shawn and I are rolling some bones to the tune of 1500 pts tonight.  I've never played a game with that few of points.

Last where we left off.

Canoptek Spyders 6.2 a.k.a. Measure twice cut once [Update 6.3]

Time to fill out my new Necron army.  Now that my Necron list has Wraiths I better start putting together my Spyders.

This blog has been retitled.  Appropriately so.  Please for the love of the Emperor or Ynnead measure twice cut once!

The sprues are beautiful.
