JJ painting, this is a Ciaphas Cain Imperial Guard commission. Lane texted me several days ago wanting me to paint the name Ciaphas Cain on the base. Told him I have a better idea. When he picked it up Fri night he said the base was a better idea. He was impressed and quite pleased with the base.

DeleteI made a comment about preferring a darker blue. I have to say, with that base, it would look wrong if the blue was darker. This looks great!
DeleteOnly one thing: Blue uniform, red cape and stood on ice. I think we've just found Ciaphas Cain's secret identity.
Really do appreciate the compliment. Not sure if a darker blue would help pull the blue out of the snow/ice more.
