Ebay Eldar Wraithknight part 5

What a great evening.  Landed home a little later than expected.  Turned on the lights and went right to work.

JJ painting, Byerly's has 5$ sushi on Wed.  Figured some finger food would help me get right to the murder table instead of eating something potentially messy while watching an episode of Californication.  Plus if I get right to the table I won't leave until the session is over.  Put almost 7 hours in last night.  Terribly surprised what is left on these models.  a.k.a. not a lot.  Plus I might be able to model Fri night.  We'll be short players this Fri.  Finished Pink Floyds catalogue.  Started Marillions catalogue.  On song 77 out of 212.  Believe Fish will carry me to the end of these models.

Didn't notice til I was cropping the pics.  Could've line highlighted Blazing Orange on the muzzle of the Suncannon to match the barrel.  Will do that tonight.

  1. That is looking sweet, man! Totally wasn't expecting what you did with the rear vanes - I really dig it! Loving the suncannon as well, awesome work!

    1. Thanks, Mordian7th. Think I'll do a Bloodletter wash over the yellow parts then little yellow lines for further highlight.

  2. These two are some of your best work so far! If you wanted to tie in the bronze with the indigo in the armour a bit more you could take a very thinned bit of druchi voilet (or any other dark purple wash) and put it just into the darkest recesses of the bronze maybe just pulling it towards the mid tone a touch. Just keep it very watery like a juice rather than a milk. Depends on how much time you want to throw into the commish though. Time is money right? Top notch work!

    1. Zab, that might fine of you to say. The bronze was brass washed with army painter dark tone. Really like your idea of watery purple wash to blend it with the blue. Can try on a small sample piece to see how it turns out.

Yeah, time is money. Thanks again!
