6th ed Rules of the Game: Heroic Morale, Going to Ground, Abandon Vehicle, Avatar

Picked up a few more rules and reminder from Tues game.

Heroic Morale 40k6 pg 39

A unit tha contains one or more Independent Characters do not need a double 1 to Regroup if reduced to below 25% of its starting numbers, but instead tests as if it had at least 25% remaining.

Context (above pic): This is a rule I've been waiting to come in effect.  However Shawn reminded me of Heroic Morale for Independent Characters.

Going to Ground 40k6 pg 18

A unit that has gone to ground cannot move, Run or charge, it can only fire Snap Shots when it wishes to shoot, and can fire Overwatch.  At the end of its following turn, the unit returns to normal, the marker is removed and the unit is free to act as normal from then on.

Context: Beginning of my third turn I stood up Warriors that went to ground.  Shawn reminded me they don't stand up til end of my turn.  Repetition and Redundancy.

Abandoning Squadron-Mates 40k6 pg 77

If a member of a squadron is Immobilised, the rest of the squadron are permitted to 'abandon' it.  To do so, the rest of the squadron must move out of unit coherency with it; treat the Immobilised model(s) as a separate unit from then on.

Context: After Night Scythe Immbolised one War Walker learned that abandoned vehicles aren't considered wrecked and removed like in 5th ed.

Avatar of Khaine 40k6 mini-rulebook pg 136

Avatar of Khaine Type Mc (ch)

Context: Shawn was rereading his codex (always a great thing for us 40k'ers) and informed me Fri morning saying Avatar is an 'Individual' Character not Independent.  Its also a Monstrous Creature that can't join Eldrad.  Confirmed this in rulebook.
